Your Explorer account and Free access
Sign in, inspect Explorer functions and limits, and keep Free access separate from Beta membership.
Sign in to the intended account
Use an enabled sign-in method and complete email verification when requested. When Explorer opens browser authorization, review the selected account and application before approving. Use another account when necessary; signing in or selecting an account alone does not approve the connection.
Understand Free access
Explorer Free includes all Explorer functions within two local workspaces per installation, each with up to 25,000 source LOC. Check Account → Products for your access profile, and the plan view in Explorer for local usage. The workspace allowance is not a synchronized global quota across computers. Unsupported language behavior and bounded queries still apply; Free access does not grant Beta membership.
Sign-in methods and sessions
Google and GitHub can be explicitly linked to one account from Sign-in methods after fresh verification. The session shows which method you used; a matching email does not automatically merge accounts. Sessions shows browser/device information where available and lets you sign out. Browser sign-out and an Explorer application connection are separate sessions.
Your time zone
Choose your time zone in the account profile. Search by city or IANA zone and check its GMT offset. Dates are displayed using that zone, including daylight-saving changes; the underlying expiry and event times are unchanged.
Beta downloads
Account → Beta owns program membership and eligible downloads. New applications are currently closed. Existing members can download the packages actually listed for their account. Products stays focused on the current access profile.
Offline and unavailable access
Explorer can use a previously validated authorization only within its allowed offline validity. Offline access does not last forever, and invalid or expired authorization must be renewed. Check the visible account/access state rather than assuming that a remembered login guarantees current access.
